July 24th, 2008

Domain investing is a bit like being a being a venture capitalist - you look for good ideas and put your money into what you think could be a huge success in the future. The economy now is in an uncertain position. You might think of question like :-

Should you invest in stocks?

What about real estate?

Are mutual funds the “safe” way to make money?

Unfortunately, all of these were previously great ways to make money, and were considered safe to some level. However now they have become very risky. With a potential for a recession, or the chance that we’re already in one, how can you make money?

Do you know that there is a booming real estate market going on right under your nose - the online real estate market. People are buying and selling millions of dollars in domain names each month. Now, imagine buying a domain for $10 and selling it for $3000, $4000, or even $10,000. This is the concept of Domain Flipping and making passive income from the domain.

Building A Website for Passive Income

May 23rd, 2008

What is passive income? Examples of passive income will include book and music royalties, anything which pays while you are asleep. While your standard 9-5 job or freelancing on the web would be examples of an active income. So just decide what you are looking for?

The reason building a website is often put into the passive income category is because if you use direct monetization through Adsense, banners, etc, you will easily earn some decent money even while you are sleep.

However you need to be sure that not types of websites provide passive income. If you are paid to build the website then obviously you have to keep building the website to get paid.

You can be sure that even popular blogs which are monetized with ads will have to keep the content fresh to maintain the level of income it enjoys. However if you can choose between a good spread of monetization strategies then its always a good idea, however in theory the more sources of non-work income we have the more passive and stable we can make it.

Trading Time for Money

May 12th, 2008

In order to make money, you have to spend time to make money. So in straight forward terms money = time, and time = money. Both can be traded with each other (people do everyday, trading their time for money), both can be leveraged (investors leverage money and time for more money and time for themselves), both can be earned and lost.

Actually you need to look for a way to generate lots of passive income, as earned income is where you trade time for money. You need to search for profitable procedures that can be performed by people other than you. Keep in mind that there are only two types of activities that can produce such desirable outcome - business and investments.

So passive income is  truly all about keeping the money, and making more with it.

Well, at least I don’t plan to do that!

In your current schedule is it possible to take off when ever you want one? Do you really worry whats going to happen to your business when you are not there.

Actually there’s a saying: Try and not make yourself irreplaceable. Because if you do so then you will never be promoted. Also as an entrepreneur, this is still true in its own way. You need to thing of being promoted as earning more, relaxing more and of course working less.

Now to earn more you can easily raise your prices, but until you can remove yourself from being directly involved in doing the work that generates the income, there’s always going to be a limit to how much you can earn, and it can only increase very slowly.

So the solution to this problem is to involve in businesses which pay passive income. Multi Level Marketing is one such business, however it required lots of efforts and marketing expertise. If you already have that, then go ahead and choose it. However if you don’t want to get pissed off by scams, then build some decent websites and put earn passive money from adsense.

$100 per Day With AdSense

May 7th, 2008

Here is the strategy in plain simple words.

Fresh Content

Your site should have at least 4 or 5 posts/fresh articles per week. If you need repeat readers then you need to update your blog or website with new things daily. Make sure that you write something on the weekends, as some people prefer the weekend. So you are giving your readers something to read every time they visit the site.

Decent Traffic

This is one of the most important ingredient in the list. This is because you need readers and visitors to click your AdSense ads. If you have a 4% CTR (Click Through Rate) you will need about 25,000 page impressions. However most readers view 3-4 pages per visit which means you have to receive 6250 uniques daily.

Cost Per Click

If you want to make $100 bucks a day you should average 1000 clicks per day using $0.10 keywords.

Do you think that this figure is impressive? Well you should also know that this network consists of 100-websites and generates over 60 MILLION page views per month. Just image how much potential lies in making money with Adsense.

Some good tips were also shared.

Be patient. In the beginning, only 1 percent of the revenue came from AdSense. But gradually over time, and after testing and applying Search Engine Optimization, the revenue grew more and more - from $1,000 to $3,000 a day… a 200% percent increase.
